And in this book, I'm not just talking about body destination.
I'm also talking about career destination, Brendan.
Like if when I get there...
When I get there, when I get there.
But for some people, that drive becomes goes awry and becomes pathological.
And we forget that this moment is the really important moment to live in.
There's a story in the book about, yeah, I come from a really working class, underclass background.
and I talk about this, and this is not a criticism for any women, whatever you're doing, but my observations are this, that the girls that I grew up with, they're flying to Turkey, getting cheap surgery, booking on Facebook through an app, like a group on Facebook, going and getting gastric sleeves, getting their face pumped with products, chemicals, smaller bums, bigger boobs, bigger bums, tummy tucks.
There's another group of women who are more middle class, more critical in their thinking, understand the risks of that,
they're over-yogaring, they're ashtangering for two hours a day when they're absolutely wrecked, Brendan.
But it's all about controlling their size.
Now, yoga's amazing.
It's wellness.
But it's not well to do two hours of yoga a day when you're absolutely wrecked.
There was one story I talk about in the book, but there was one woman in one of the places that I worked and I heard her talking about her ashtanga practice.
And I knew her and she was really not a very nice person.
She didn't treat the students well.
She didn't get her essays done on time.
But I'm looking at her, but like she's controlling her body size with this wellness practice.
And I think what we all need to do is we all need to think about like the message of beauty, the message of the perfect body size has different impacts on different people.
