And now I look back and I think, why didn't I do my nursing?
But I worked for 25 years as a social worker in child protection and a lot of my work was to do with loss, grief, children without parents, adoptees.
Well, what happened was while I was at uni, I started to feel that I had to do something about Jonathan.
I felt like I had to find him.
And I said to Grandad, your dad, I said, I have to find my son.
I can't bear it any longer.
The lid's coming off the box and this...
box inside of me was, the lid was lifting.
And he went, oh, the girls don't know.
He was wanting to protect the girls that they don't know.
And I said, I got to do it.
So what I did is I knew that, that matron, that nurse knew where my son was.
So I wrote to the hospital and it was 20 years later.
And I said, oh, she's my auntie and I live in England and I want to find out where she is.
And do you know, they wrote back and gave me her address.
They'd never do that now.
And she was retired because she was about 70 then.
And I wrote her this letter and I said, I don't know whether you remember me, but I had a baby and you were there.
