It's a terrible thing to say, but that's what life was like.
So most of us were married by the time we were 21, 22.
And saying that, most of my friends have never divorced.
Some of them wished they had of, but probably a couple of lost husbands, a couple have, not many have divorced.
Because we, it was kind of culture.
You didn't do that.
You just stuck it out.
And you got on with it.
And it's, you know, with granddad and I, as I said earlier, there were times when I think, oh, I wish I was on my own.
I've never had a life of my own.
I've never had my own bank account ever.
I wish that I had my own bank account.
But when I said that to granddad, he said, well, I haven't had mine either.
But they're things that I wanted and I didn't have.
That was the way it turned out, you know.
