They transferred to a black BMW.

That car basically then drove at speed out of the south inner city onto the M50

It was driving in a reckless fashion near the Finglas exit where it got pulled over by local Gardaí from Finglas.

They had no idea what had just happened in town half an hour earlier.

Yeah.

But they were suspicious enough that the three people in the car were arrested for the purpose of a drug search and brought back to Finglas Gardaí station.

Yeah.

Now...

In Barry's case, gardening gloves were found on him that later showed up firearm residue, which is linked back to the shooting.

So Gavin Carabini was the driver of that car.

All three were arrested.

On the night, Barry and Mulvey were released without charge.

And Carabini was actually charged with dangerous driving in relation to what had happened on the motorway, but also being in possession of a screwdriver.

Yeah.

So he was released on station bail.

But before that, kind of a bizarre scenario happened where he also had a Hyundai car key on him.
