As time went on, the suspicion was that he may have been involved as a kind of a money man in the background in relation to the fairly serious drug activities of this young gang at the time.
So he ran various kind of businesses, a nail parlor business, I think kind of a beauty shop in the locality as well.
There's always suspicions, despite the staff of these places,
having no knowledge of it that these businesses were fronts they were kind of money laundering businesses and in fact some among the spate of charges that Salmon has pleaded guilty to and he'll be dealt with in May in a special criminal court for that there's a number of money laundering charges there so I think the general belief
That was his role, and that's kind of where he came to prominence.
And I suppose you're dealing with a situation that with a number of people, including his close friend, being wiped out.
Now, that's a good few years ago in 2019.
Then we had the pandemic, which kind of maybe jilted away
the drugs business was run.
We're obviously long out of that, but it seems to be in that stage after COVID, after the lockdown, this guy kind of came to the fore.
But some people that are familiar with the situation say that he almost kind of came out of nowhere at the start anyway.
Yes, but I think at the same time, he wouldn't be adverse to some of that bling you talk about either.
But he wasn't...
at the centre of Sean Little and Glenn Ward, and like I say, even Zack Parker, these lads, they made no secret of their love of the big lifestyle and stuff like that.
So this individual for a number of years, and he's that bit older than those other lads, was in the background until, for whatever reason, whether it's the people above him or whether it was a personal decision himself, decided to step up.
And when he did step up,
In particular, drug debt intimidation was, in a very vicious way, was a tactic that he employed.
It is, and obviously that particular type of crime we're talking about is very insidious.
I don't think it's a case of him being actually caught in any particular instance.
We'll know much more when the sentencing hearing happens in May.
