I was happy and my brother was happy.
We loved it.
We loved the freedom of being out in the country.
We had guns.
We were...
our own guns.
We each had a .22.
I had a .22 Winchester Lever Action.
I felt like I was in the cowboy and Indian movies, you know, the old side gun that you put on the saddle.
We were living the dream as kids, a lot of freedom to do stuff.
And
It was disappointing that at the end of 77, mum and dad said, well, actually what happened was the creditors from the bankruptcy ended up seeing that the pub was making significant money and it was a great asset.
So they actually ended up coming and taking the pub.
And they moved in on the Gregory and they seized that.
So that was kind of the dad's only money-making tool.
And I think that dad wasn't paying back enough money from the pub as well.
He said that he needed to keep that because it was earning income and it helped to pay back the bills.
But I don't think he paid much back.
So by the end of 77, we were packing up once again.
And where did your family head then?
