What kind of cases did you start working on?
They had a big contract with GIO, Government Insurance Office, doing workers' compensation claims and third-party injury claims.
It was all back in the days when there were so many people claiming compensation from personal injuries.
So they got this big contract to spy on people that had work cover claims in.
So I was trained in surveillance.
So they needed people to go out and spy on people.
So I started learning covert surveillance and I was out day one.
I went out in the back of a van with a guy called Kurt who was one of the most senior guys in the company.
He took me out and after about a week he said, look, I think you're ready to do your own stuff.
