We would sneak in at night.

And it was very dangerous.

When I look back

at what we were doing.

I wouldn't do it in this day and age.

I would never, ever do what I did in the 80s and early 90s.

It was actually so dangerous, what we were doing.

But we didn't have a sense of danger.

There was no CCTV in those days.

There was no external way of them knowing that we were there.

It wasn't all just farmers.

I mean, some of these operations, there were bikey gangs involved.

I mean, dangerous people who wouldn't have been happy being filmed covertly.

Well, in Griffith, the families we were targeting were all Italians and those Italian families, some of them, not all, some of them were named as being members of a very large drug trafficking network.

These were alleged mafia figures that we didn't know.

We didn't know until the following year or two

when they were suddenly named in this big royal commission into drug trafficking.

It was crazy.

In the 90s, Ken, you moved away from insurance fraud more into counterfeit goods.
