St Kilda, you should be beating or at least highly competitive against these sides.

So no one expected them to go to Brisbane and win, so that was a birdie last night, that performance, because of expectation.

But it's when you come up against Richmond and St Kilda and Melbourne and Port Adelaide, these are the

the games that you're going to have to win.

And unfortunately, if they'd won three wins, it's a different conversation than you having had one won in the way that they've done it.

But you're right, it does buy them a bit of time if they're going to be as competitive as that last night.

If there was a mid-season trade period, how good would it be, is what I thought.

What Carlton could do...

in terms of cashing in on a desperate team that is in the premiership window.

I look at Adelaide.

What would Adelaide give for Harry Mackay right now in the mid-season trade period?

What would Collingwood give for Harry?

And how could Carlton exploit the desperation of a team that wants to win the premiership this year?

So I think we are definitely missing something with that and missing not only an opportunity for Carlton to cash in on that, but also for teams that need...

need that and I think it shows that he can play Tom and I think it shows that there will still be some value for him but he's not a player that I would want to go to a final series with regardless of what he produced last night so I'd still be looking to move him on if there was a club willing to pick him up.

Reminds me a bit though, Gerard, of Fyfe.

But having said that, he plays.

Fyfe got to the stage where he couldn't play and he lost all confidence in his body.

But there was an awkwardness around Fyfe being the captain at one stage and then relinquishing that.

And also the game moving past him a little bit.
