Well, that's the challenge for Brad.
Regardless of the noise, how do you stay motivated when you're planning your footy trip at round 11?
That was always the challenge I had as a player and as a coach.
And, you know, it's a long year when you've won one game in the first 10 weeks.
It's happened to me a couple of times in trying to be a good leader.
and motivate and it's not just your players it's your coaching staff it's the football staff trying to get everyone in a bit of positivity come Monday and when you get these injuries on top of the other challenges it's really hard it would be a dark place at Essendon at the moment in terms of everything it's not there's no other than a few young players that we see some light with there's not a lot of positivity
Tom, what does this mean for us and Brad last night's result?
Does it mean anything to you?
Well, like I said earlier off the top, what's the identity of your side when you're trying to go through this rebuild?
And I look at McWalter and what he's trying to do with his side, and I'm still trying to work out what are we trying to do on field?
And he's in his second year.
And then you look at Adam Uzay, and from the beginning, he wanted the spirit and fight bit as an underlying, we do this no matter what.
But the way they play...
It's pretty aggressive in terms of a straight line game, Ken.
And every now and then they'll switch it and go straight.
But I can see it.
And I can see Taranto, Lynch, Hopper, Short, Broad and Vlosten all play their roles in a really set way.
They know what they're doing in terms of their positioning.
So it's clear for me what evolution looks like for them.
And when I look at the Bombers, I don't think they've worked out their identity just yet.
