You became so good at ball sports.
Now, I used to joke to a couple of players over the journey that they're only lucky they're good at footy because they're no good at any other sport.
Yeah.
When I grew up, and Simo, I don't know about you, but when you grew up, you tended to be able to play any sport that was known to us.
Now they just don't seem to be able to.
Yeah, they do.
They need to β well, there's a fair bit now.
Like, the injury crisis is bigger than just the Ruckman right now.
I mean, Liver might β could Liver be done?
I mean, I don't want to scare people, but he's had a lot of concussions.
Yeah, we had a couple of those days, and they were in Brisbane, unfortunately, both times, I reckon.
And there weren't seven, though, Simo.
There was three or four, but they were pretty good players.
We lost Sam Paupepe, Savaradagalir, Connor Rosie, and one other with a shoulder in a game at the Gabba.
I think it was my last year, so it might have only been then.
And then one other game up the Gabba, they went down like 10 pins at the bowling, and they just kept flopping, and down they'd go.
You just can't underestimate what that does to the mind of the rest of the players.
Because when we lost Sam, particularly Sam Palpepper in the game, coming off a knee from the previous year, it just destroyed our, I think, not so much our hope, but our courage to keep going.
And I think that was real for us because this bloke who was the spirit leader of the team, really, really going down the second time, really.
