the Bulldogs boys would have faced last night when they seen Sam Darcy go.
Because this bloke is not just one of their players.
He's the player that's going to carry them to the next premiership.
That's what everyone's built him up to be.
And rightly so.
He's such a great young player.
But when you see that happen in a game, and I can't imagine seven in one game.
Yeah, well, you do your best.
You do your best to, you know, like I've said this, I think, a week ago.
You are the first person to have to walk in with the belief.
You've got to walk into the building and tell everyone it's going to be okay.
Even if you're lying, you actually have to walk in and tell them it's going to be okay.
You have to convince your team that whatever we're going to do from here on, it's still going to work for us and it's going to work really well.
You know, and more often than not,
through my time, we managed to find a way to get through that.
My last year we had 21 surgeries from January until the start of August.
Like it just seemed like we couldn't ever get over the time.
And I, I know, and that was my last year.
So there was a lot of other stuff going on, but I could just sense the players going, we, we can't cope.
We can't do this again.
