Now, every muscle in our body, for people that don't know, is basically surrounded by what they call a fascia, which keeps the muscle in its shape, so to speak.
And if you've heard of compartment syndrome, a lot of runners get that in their shins, where the blood goes in, but the fascia stops the blood coming back out again.
It can be quite painful for those who have it.
Now, poor old Dean Mariner, he had it.
It kept filling him with blood.
They couldn't get him to stop bleeding, so they took him off to hospital and they operated on him, which basically requires puncturing the fascia and getting the blood out.
But we're led to believe if he hadn't done that and just had stayed at home and tried to ice it like most people would have, he could have lost a leg.
Well, yeah, it's a very unusual injury.
from what started as a really common injury.
Anyway, the good news is he seems to be okay.
He's going to be back within a few weeks.
It won't be too long now until he's back.
They do recover pretty quickly from that, but it just shows you how badly it could have gone.

Down below, it probably was a bit of a distraction.
Clearly, there's plenty going on.
Not only was there the Luai stuff, but Buller re-signed, the May brothers re-signed, the May brothers played, so they were part of the game.
The Tigers don't want to admit that that was a distraction, that none of it was a distraction, but it appears that it was.
The other alternative is probably not the more palatable one, is that the fact that they just basically gave up and that just didn't turn up on the day and that their effort wasn't there.
