Yeah, and I can't believe we're celebrating our fifth year.
And all the years that I've done the events, obviously the marathon and the 8K, the Shamrock, and the springtime, people have said to me, you guys should do a half marathon.
I don't think I can do the marathon.
I'm not up for it.
So we finally got our team together.
And five years later, we're celebrating Chicago 13.1.
We'll have 10,000 runners come into Garfield Park.
I couldn't tell you how pleased and how the support has been amazing from the community and just those three parks when we first looked at it, Humble Park, Douglas Park, and Garfield Park, and the boulevards, working with the city of Chicago that we run on.
Amazing tour.
It's just a beautiful, beautiful place.
And we start and finish in Garfield Park.
And
We are going to raise Sunday for the associated charities on the west side $500,000 as a result of this event.
So the philanthropic piece of what we do, which is a pillar, obviously is apparent with this.
And we're just getting started with 13.1.
So nice compliment as we head toward the marathon in the fall.
Sure.
It was important for our team to afford access.
We have a walk where if people feel like they want to be part of the activity, we have a 1.31 mile.
walk around garfield park which is pretty cool uh we have a fitness fest where we have some vendors out there we'll have a shakeout run if you want to run uh two miles very easy to kind of warm up but also the peace runners are sponsoring that and they have a great club that's uh headquartered in garfield park that is um that has gotten people moving gotten people walking and running and we're seeing them the events across the chicago distance series so uh couldn't be happier
