Orwell was an optimist because he never understood the power of machine learning.

Sure.

Well, amazing to be here and to meet everyone.

So, Shaker, you and I have known each other for 10 years, and I've been looking at some of these topics from the technologist's point of view.

So I've been building and running companies in Silicon Valley for the last 25 years.

And really pretty blown away by the impact of technology.

I got to work on the early Internet and saw that big change.

I grew up analog, so we went from analog to the Internet, and now we're on to something new.

And it's very interesting to be in the middle of it.

So I started working on AI.

We were doing pre-AI things way back at Inc2Me in 1999, dealing with basically how do you look at the whole internet and use the meaning of web pages to categorize and start to take meaning out of the mass of data.

I started working on computer vision in 2013.

So I've always loved to be on kind of the early edge of that technology.

And you know and now seeing what's happened the last few years.

It's really just it's this accelerating curve And so it's both a concerning and a scary time to be around But I'm also really driven by curiosity and I'm really curious to see you know what we can you know what we can do what what what's going to happen and and how can we really extract the best out of it and that's something that Is pretty exciting personally.
