I don't know if you guys heard the story with Matt Chapman about him getting death threats.
No, I didn't hear it.
Lack of performance.
It was Matt Chapman, and then it was Tanner Scott's wife had posted things that she had got on Instagram.
Tanner had blown the save in L.A., and there was people coming out telling her to kill her family or her kids and stuff like that.
And those people tend to get away with it, right?
And then we want to throw this 13-year-old kid out for a misunderstanding, right?
So...
I just encourage players that have these things happen to them to keep speaking out on it, right?
Because that's the only way we're going to make a change.
But I bring that up because we kicked a 13-year-old kid out for a misunderstanding, so I hope that he has an opportunity.
So to come back to a game, the Orioles, you know, take care of him.
But I think Jesus Sanchez did a great job of setting the story straight because if he would have just said, oh, I don't know what happened, this kid hit the ball, you know, maybe we're talking about this kid a little bit differently or the situation's totally different.
But the fact that it was a misunderstanding β
And it's a cool thing that you get to do as a professional athlete.
Every once in a while you get to play catch with a fan or you get to try to make a 13-year-old's day.
Instead of making this 13-year-old's day by playing catch, he had probably the worst day of his life, right?
So it's a tough situation.
But I think players just got to keep speaking up about some of the things that happened because β
More than likely these fans, probably nothing happens to them, right?
