I think if you looked in the game, there were certain times, I think there was a 2-0 count to Mike Trout.

I think there was a 3-1 count to Zach Netto, who are great fastball hitters.

And these are the most obvious fastball counts you can get in.

As a hitter, you don't know it's coming, but you're sitting on it.

You're ready for it.

And I'm not going to miss it when I get it.

The fact that guys are fouling it off just should show him how elite his stuff is.

And I'd love to just see him trust it earlier in counts.

And

If he gets a ground ball 0-0 in a count and he gets a ground ball to short and he gets it out, great.

He doesn't need to punch out 12 a night.

I think as he starts to trust his stuff and guys are fouling stuff off and he can get deeper in the count sooner, then go for the strikeout.

But once he starts to get into these 2-2 counts, 3-2 counts, let him hit it.

It's hard to hit.

No, I think it's a very important thing.

And I think it goes back to what the Blue Jays have built in terms of their clubhouse chemistry.

And obviously you don't want something like this to ruin it.

I think Eric Lauer as a player has every right to be frustrated with even going back to his arbitration case and how it shook out.

You know, him being a little bit further down on the depth chart in terms of starters.
