Look for what you believe they're going to throw you, not necessarily what you want to hit.
I think most of us want to hit the fastball.
When you're going good, we can always โ
sit fastball and adjust when you aren't able to make that adjustment.
Sometimes you've got to sit soft, hit a couple sliders or breaking balls or change-ups to earn the fastball again, and then you kind of have to work backwards.
Once you kind of have success off the breaking ball, you start seeing more fastballs, then you get on the fastball, and then you start hitting some fastballs, and that's where you kind of find where, man, I could sit fastball and then adjust, but when you're not able to adjust, sometimes you have to slow the game down, look for how you're going to get pitched.

I was wearing molded cleats.
I always wore metal.
Like, you know, the turf in Montreal was so bad.
I eventually went to tennis shoes in the outfield, but.
I was trying to hit with molded cleats on, and I'll never forget it.
This is pre-Corbin Burns, before the world knew who he was.
He was pitching, threw me a cutter.
I swung George Springer.
I ended up with chalk on my back, right?
