It's defined by lack of empathy.

So when Sive was doing up these notes, I was slightly panicked because I was like, oh, what if on this journey, I discover that I am a sociopath?

That would be kind of embarrassing, right?

Right.

But once I found out that it was defined by lack of empathy, then I said, oh, girl, I'm out of the woods.

We're good.

Yeah.

You know, that's why that's actually.

Is it my greatest strength or my biggest downfall?

So it's not a clinical diagnosis.

The term sociopath, which is environmental, and psychopath, which happens at birth, are informal terms used to describe people with ASPD, so Antisocial Personality Disorder.

Now, the stats which shook me to my core, but then again, I feel like I'm only fully understanding what a sociopath is because I think sometimes we use the term a bit flippantly, but a stat that shook me is one in 25 people are actually sociopaths according to studies.

What does that mean though?

Because I would say like, Beverly has a disregard for social norms.

But she's not a sociopath.

But like, a disregard...
