I'm sure that they would be fine with that, but it is a hard line in the sand that they draw where it's like, you know, if you're not a member, you need to be a company.
I mean, in theory, Rory McIlroy just won the master's.
He couldn't call them up and be like, I'd like to play with my dad and Harry and Niall Horan.
They'd be like, well, we really need to have a member take you out and we'll be happy to arrange that.
And so I'm sure that someone would be happy to arrange having him around there.
But it's just those privileges are reserved for people who...
You know, have probably paid the quarter million dollars to be a member of the place and continue to pay the dues and show up to the meetings and have all the compete in the club championship and all the things that are sort of important to a club being a club.
And I, you know.
Gary has no one.
There probably was a route for Gary to become the first foreign-born true member at Augusta National.
But for whatever reason, he rubbed it the wrong people the wrong way or didn't shake hands enough or didn't kind of kiss up to the right people or he didn't make the right donations.
And I think he kind of forfeited that with some of his choices.
And you kind of have to live with that even at 90.
Yeah.
I think that he's become such a caricature of himself.
that people almost kind of don't appreciate his golf accomplishments as much as they should.
I mean, nine majors is a lot of majors, and winning all around the world and doing all this stuff.
I saw a golfing list today that had Sam Snead ranked ahead of Gary Player as an all-time great.
And I thought, how silly does that seem?
Sam Snead, very fine player and won a lot of tournaments, but...
