And things that, frankly, around this team for the past couple of years haven't either been stressed or adhered to or just haven't happened enough.

And so...

Two guys are on the same page in Manny and Ryan, and obviously the twins above them, that those are going to be the important factors through some ugly times, potentially ugly, potentially difficult, potentially a lot of losing in the early years, with the trust and knowledge and understanding that those will be the things that get you through those times and into hopefully better times for this franchise.

it's, is there still a ton of heavy lifting?

Absolutely.

Uh, did he shy away from that fact and how hard this is going to be?

No.

Um, did he talk about how maybe there's a perception out there?

This is just a bunch of buddies, you know, all hiring each other, like getting the gang back together from 2011.

Even if Ryan Johnson didn't come in till, you know, after Manny Malhotra left, um, you know, like that, those perceptions are all out there, but I just think there's a, I don't know.

There's just reasoned explanation at all points.

It doesn't mean all of,

Their reasoning is going to prove to be right.

Every move isn't going to be on the button.

But it's really easy to buy in when you listen to Ryan Johnson talk about his experience with Manny Malhotra and why he hired him as the new head coach of the Vancouver Canucks.

No, I think that's true.

And I also think, listen, I'm not being dismissive at all of some of the conversations that were starting to happen around why this was taking so long.

And I think those questions are fair given the history of this organization when it comes to paying and especially on the coaching side.

What is fair value and what have they paid and what is top market value?

So those are all fair things.
