It is so annoying.
And especially certain times in the past, like being a Nintendo fan during the GameCube era, when everybody else was doing online gaming and Nintendo was just still stubbornly not.
It can feel super frustrating.
It didn't have a handle.
Yeah, nothing else had a handle.
The and the cute little discs, you know, cute little diddy discs.
I do still appreciate those.
But yeah, Nintendo can be a super annoying company.
And the secrecy is the one thing that I find most because it's not I don't think it's particularly helpful.
You know, the sort of extreme secrecy that Nintendo's adopted since this.
Certainly not.
I had 20 years worth of interviews and I needed all of them in order to piece together like a proper story of the company.
And I think that it's understandable that as a corporate entity, it doesn't necessarily want to share too much about how things are made and who makes them.
But also, this is really important cultural history.
These are things that have had an impact on millions of people's lives.
And I feel like
you know, it's almost slightly negligent not to at least document it somehow.
And Satoru Iwata, who was of course Nintendo's fourth president, while he was around, he felt really strongly about writing this stuff down.
He used to publish Iwata Asks interviews with like every single development team at Nintendo.
Beautiful interviews.
