I know the GardaΓ would say that they have kind of protocols that they would kick into gear and the GardaΓ on a case-by-case basis would determine how best to respond to different situations.

About five and a half thousand beds in Irish prisons and about six and a half thousand prisoners in those beds.
We haven't had a new prison built since the population of the country was less than four million and it's now over five million.
So we have needed a new prison for a long time.
That's absolutely true.
