If I'm going to be a little bit critical, I don't think he's acted like a captain this season.

I don't think any of them have acted like a captain this season and that's where my concern is about leadership.

You might need to bring one or two in, but bringing one or two in is still... You look at the Klopp side, it was full of leaders.

Van Dijk was a captain without never having the armband on.

Jordan Henderson was the team captain, but Van Dijk was just as much a captain.

Alisson was just as much a captain.

Salah was a captain.

You know, there was leaders right across that team.

I'm not looking at this team now.

There's players who are wearing the armband for the country and there's players who you would suggest to be leaders, but they're definitely not acting like it.

This is where the Curtis Jones conversation looks really, really interesting because I'm a little bit worried about that one because he's reportedly on a fairly low wage compared to the other players.

He signed his deal four or five years ago, so we expect that to be the case.

Now, he'll be looking at what he's achieved at Liverpool.

He'll be looking at what his ability is and he'll be looking at that leadership group.

And in this conversation we're having now, I want to stay at Liverpool to play and to fill one of them gaps.

I think Liverpool will be looking at it and be going, you're on 20, 30, 40 grand a week now.

The best we can do is double that into 40, 50, 60 grand a week.

And the valuation from the club compared to the valuation from the player, I'm worried they're going to be so far apart.

Because a player with that amount of Premier League experience, with European Cup medals and Premier League medals, who's worked under Jurgen Klopp, who's worked with some of the best players in the world,

If you go and have a conversation with another club, you're looking at 100 grand a week plus, especially when it's your big contract, 25, 26.
