My name is Kim Birkner.
I established ReadyWise in the UK about four years ago.
To provide everyday preparedness for private homes, institutions, corporates and NGOs.
Primarily food products, freeze-dried emergency food meals that can last up to 25 years.
So we've got one of these packs in front of us.
What have we got here?
What you've got in front of you is a 72-hour emergency kit that basically includes breakfast, lunch and dinner for one person for three days.
It's a small bag ready to go.
But we also see there's a lot of different use cases.
We're not just pushing hardcore prepping.
We're also looking into other segments where people can take it on a boat, take it on a camping trip.
So there's a lot of different use cases where having long-lasting food makes a lot of sense.
I mean, I was going to ask what sort of people are buying this?
It's a very broad range of people, but it has become mainstream.
Emergency food has become mainstream.
Yeah, and that has changed dramatically.
So we see people that are buying it just to have a peace of mind for their families.
We also see companies buying it.
So as a duty of care, investment banks, corporates are buying it, keeping it in the basement to provide it for their staff in an emergency situation.
What do you think has changed the market?
