He did say that the dot almost disappears in a dark room.
Remember, that is auto-brightness.
So he took it home and tried it in a dark room, and he said it basically disappears.
So I think that is a trade-off with auto-brightness.
You get what you get.
Brightness in low-light conditions.
So far, it's not been an issue with Pebble, but you do have to manually adjust the brightness.
And again, it does have the two IR settings if you're running under notch, which would be frigging hilarious.
I think Gideon has the better warranty.
It is lifetime.
Viridian, which claims a limited lifetime, which is, again, it's only five years on the electronics.
But five years on a dot for the electronics, I'll take that.

The Gideon has the side battery tray, which means I don't have to take the optic off to change the battery.
The Viridian's battery is on the bottom, so you do have to take it off.
Both claim somewhere around 30,000 hours of battery life.
I think that's going to vary depending on how much you're carrying it and how much it's actually moving, obviously.
