I feel as if he will have some part to play in the future of the club.

You speak to all the older guys, they love him.

They love the training.

They think it's really, really good.

And I know he's got the negativity of he's been part of the last couple of failed managers there.

But...

How much impact did he have?

We don't know.

But if he does get the opportunity going forward, he's a big part of why Northern Ireland have done so well as well.

He does know his football.

I know there's obviously people out there that he's brought in a few guys that haven't worked out for Hearts, but let's be realistic, there's been a lot of players coming through the door at Tyne Castle over the last number of months that have not worked out.

But there's one thing, both clubs are attractive jobs and there will be a lot of candidates looking at it, won't they?

At least get the opportunity to speak.

Yeah, rightly so, because, you know, that's one thing when we criticise it, or, sorry, Hibs have been criticised for Paul Heckingbottom, the recruitment side of it.

Motherwell's has been excellent.

Yeah.

It just shows you, if you've got someone down the road who actually goes to games and knows what's going on, you can get talented footballers and cheap.

I mean, Motherwell have been able to do it.

They've lost players, but they've been able to do it in a budget that's nowhere near Harts and Hibsies.

And they've been able to sell players on.
