I didn't know from the season.
We started talking about it.
I went home and talked about it with the coaches.
And my dad helps me out, too, with my hitting.
And we talked about it and looked at a lot of the great hitters around the league.
start with their hands low or get their hands low before they swing.
High hands are tough.
There are some people who do have high hands, but they usually tend to bring them down before the pitch is thrown and then go straight to the ball, especially so they can keep it off the ground and not smother it down.
I feel like last year I really smothered a lot of balls into the ground because my hands were super high and I had a long way to go.
And I was really disconnected also because, like,
I would load late and have to go from up to down and go down even more to try to get to that pitch.
And you would have a hard time elevating the ball.
Yeah, exactly.
And you want to elevate the ball because ground balls are outs now in the league.
So I want to elevate that ball and at least get line drives
Out of it, worst comes to worst, you know what I mean?
Because you're not going to hit a home run every time, but I don't want to hit them straight into the ground either.
So lowering my hands gets me in a better position to be able to get to those pitches easier, in my opinion.
And I'm here, and I go straight to the ball off my back shoulder.
So I get that elevation I really want on those pitches.
