You know, you can't just steam around first and head to second.
Or if you ground out, you just have to make the turn back to the dugout.
It's hard to show fire when you aren't.
It's hard to show fire in the game of baseball anyway, even when you're successful.
But it's really hard to show fire when you're not hitting.
And so when a team isn't hitting, they always look lifeless.
I'm not saying that's an excuse, but it is one of those things that when I look at a team and think they look lifeless, well, what's the score?
Yeah, they're probably going to look lifeless because they're not on the field seemingly for half the game.
And they still don't.
They're third to the last in average attendance this year.
They draw fewer people per game than the Royals.
And the guys you would expect those home runs from have not delivered.
I mean, if Vinny Pasquantino was feeling it the way he was a year ago, this year, would those numbers be up?
That was more about the history of the team than it was the season he had.
In the beginning, they were they were setting records and mileposts for consecutive games, not scoring four runs or three runs or whatever it was.
The Tampa is one of those teams that, like, wow, they can really โ they're really amazing, but they don't have a flag.
