Which is probably not a phrase I ought to say in a jewelry store.

That just occurred to me.
Gold can, of course, be turned into jewelry, like the rings in Todd Bracken's studio.
But it's also one of the original safe haven assets in times of economic uncertainty, like, say, now.
Regular people buy it.
Sophisticated investors buy it.
Companies, even countries.
Just this week, the European Central Bank said there's more gold in foreign reserves around the world than there are U.S.
Treasury bonds.
That's part of what makes Todd Bracken's raw materials more expensive.
Turns out, though, he's not just a user of gold.
He is also a miner of it.
That's a lot of gold.
