Because if I work somewhere and my ideas have a fighting chance and this thing that started out as just this inkling in my head, now it's a product line or it's a service thing or I get to help run this division or I'm financially rewarded or however that gets set up,

If you do that right, people go, why would I ever go anywhere else?

This is a dream.

My dad worked in manufacturing for a long time and he told me a quote that stuck with him was somebody once told him, every system is perfectly tuned to get the results that it is currently getting.

And so whatever results you're getting, so often we go, oh, I keep gaining weight or whatever.

And you're like, why is this happening?

It's because the number of calories that you're putting into your body is perfectly tuned to get the weight gain that you're getting right now.

And the same thing is true of your business.

You're like, why aren't we profitable?

Well, the way that you're running your revenue, your profit and loss is perfectly tuned to run your business into the ground the way that you're doing that.

And so if you want to change that, you got to change what you're doing.

You have to change the behaviors and the beliefs, the expectations and the P&Ls and all of that stuff to get the results that you're getting.

Your current system, if you're like, yeah, my employees don't give me any ideas.

Congratulations, you have built a perfect system where employees will not give you ideas.

And so if you want a different result, then you have to build a different system for that.

I appreciate it, man.

Yeah, the third thing that an idea needs is a time and place.

And that one is just kind of about not hesitating.

You and I have birthdays.
