And then later when you look at it, it says his name is Jeff.
The ink stays the same.
So the idea is preserved there.
But the other thing that it does is when you build that habit of, I have an idea, I write it down, that tells your brain, oh, he likes ideas.
Oh, she likes ideas.
Like that's important to them.
Then your brain starts to go, dude, I feel bad.
Now I've been throwing these in the trash this whole time.
I got tons of ideas if you want ideas.
And so it teaches your brain this is an important thing.
And so I think it's important to capture ideas when you have them.
One of the things that I tell business owners all the time is that if nothing else, one of the best things that you could do to just get this process started is give everyone notebooks on your team.
Just give them a pocket notebook and go, hey, here's the things I want you to start looking for.
This week, here's a focus.
This week, look for what are things that are making our customer service process inefficient?
Or what's the number one complaint that we get?
And how might we fix that?
And when you give someone a target, their brain kind of locks onto that.
And then go every time you have one, write it down.
