You've got McFarland landing in Nashville.

You've got Chayka landing in Toronto.

And then you've got Rian Johnson and the twins in Vancouver.

One of those things is very much not like the other.

Like, once again, the Canucks are sort of zigging when everyone else zags, which I generally like, by the way.

Do you think it's incumbent on the Twins and Rian Johnson to sort of demonstrate that they can think unconventionally, despite the fact that they're coming in as sort of former players and in a more traditional mold than the way the league seems to be?

There's a lot of skepticism about that, though.

I'm talking rival executives, agents.

No one really believes that the Canucks are going to have the discipline and patience to turn it down organizationally.

But also, we'll need to see it matched in action.
