Yeah.
I think that's the best description of the budget that I've heard.
I'm going to adopt that one.
It's a nothing burger.
That is totally it.
It's like the worst kind of burger.
Well, I will do my best to explain that with the caveat that they've only just introduced the bill last Thursday and what they've introduced is like a framework bill.
It kind of sets the principles and what the government has said is we're going to do the detail later.
So we will have a look at that framework bill and there's going to be a Senate inquiry into it, which runs for the next two or three weeks.
And we will be asking experts to explain precisely those sorts of questions.
But it may well be that we can't answer that question until that detail is drafted.
There was historically a scare campaign against death taxes, which was never a real thing.
It was only ever a scare campaign.
And I think the government has designed this particular inheritance trust mechanism to avoid a scare campaign.
But unfortunately, it turns out scare campaigns are everywhere and don't need any factual basis at all.
The changes that they've said they will do are quite small and they're being overblown.
And again, this is why you've got the spin and then you've got the reality.
The spin is that this is going to be some great change.
The reality, nothing burger.
So making those two things consistent is doing all of our heads in.
