And that's exactly, when you look at the, if he still had the paperwork, it would be hard to believe what he had written down in terms of training, say in November, training in December, training in January, the plans of practice matches, the plans of everything was laid out properly for us.
And it was a guideline for us to say, OK, lads,
our life is on hold now for the next four or five months and see where it's going to get us.
And even through the National League that year, you could see progress, you could see teamwork, you could see the team playing well together as a unit.
The team was fighting more for one another.
So everything seems to be falling into place nicely.

Well, we were a little bit unlucky, I must say, in the early 90s.
We lost league finals to Kilkenny and Offaly.
We lost league finals to Cork in 93 to beat us after the third game.
We lost some Leinster finals as well in that period of time.
So there were signs of something was good within the team or the county, you know, but it was just about getting it right.
Was there someone out there who was able to come in, put everything right?
