You know, the great character themselves.
I spoke about the great characters that we have within our own club, but there's certainly great characters in every club out there.
So, you know...
I always said, it's that man that does the hard work for the club, the guy that maybe puts the toilet roll into the toilets, the fella that cleans out the dress rooms, the fella that marks the pitches, the guy that puts out the flags and organises everything within the club or whatever, the guy that just gets a pat on the back, but he's probably doing more work than most people in the club.
You know, as I said, there's loads of people out there to do that.
But it's a great incentive for anyone out there.
So they should check out the BCO champion.
You know, as I said, there's plenty of heroes out there.
But to me, you know, as I said, we have heroes in our own club.
And we had a great guy named Kevin Murphy.
I always speak about him because he was a wonderful guy.
He was part of the actually 95, the 85 minor squad.
Wexford team he was a selector and I would have grown up with him all the way through my life and he was like a daddy to me in terms of hurling with the club he'd always look after you he'd always care for you he'd always fill you with confidence he'd always believe in you and he'd always he used to always go around with an old pocket of sweets as well so he'd always give you an old sweet here and there but he was the man that done everything for the club he used to wash the jerseys become a selector whether it's a minor team or a junior team
organise hurls, you know, he organised everything within the club, you know, and he used to sell maybe 100 to 150 lotto pocket tickets every week.
So to him, he is a club champion to us, you know, and we really appreciate it for all the work that he has done and he passed away a couple of years ago so he has a lovely statue down there within the club and rightly so because to me, he is a club champion and I must say there is many, many more club champions out there so if there are, please put your name forward for the club champion.
Yeah, to be quite honest, it was probably a journey of a lifetime.
But you rather have it lasting 10 years rather than just one year.
And as you said, unfortunately, it's 30 years since we won and people are still talking about the team of 96, you know.
Tony Dorn often said, and I heard him on the radio, the great Tony Dorn himself, he spoke about...
You know, why isn't there a new chapter in Hurling?
