DroneShield has been another company.
It's actually the second worst performer right now.
It's down by roughly 10% to its lowest level since February.
Now, this is on the back of an announcement that was just five lines long.
But what it said was that the corporate watchdog ASIC has launched a formal investigation into the company.
over share sales and disclosures made late last year.
Now, the probe relates to around $70 million worth of stock sold by former executives, as well as there being questions raised around the company announcement at the time that wiped out more than 30% of its share price from last November.
So I'm sure this isn't the last we're hearing about this.
I should also mention that gold miners have been performing strongly with the gold sub-index currently up by more than 3%, with gold miners making up
seven of the top 10 performers as we head into the close.
But look, in saying that, gold still has a long way to go to make up for some of its declines in March.
Gold prices were down something like 12% over that month and the gold subsector falling an even steeper 24% in March.
All right, we've already talked about the federal budget being handed down at 7.30pm tonight, so that's certainly going to receive quite a lot of attention.
Other than that, we do have US inflation data being handed down tonight as well.
Looking to tomorrow, ResMed will trade ex-dividend, which could potentially be a bit of a wait.
