Democrats have come out and said that they are not going to pass this bill unless this portion that funds Homeland Security is taken out and renegotiated.
This is a very tricky, both political and process thing to go through this week.
The Senate is in, the House has already passed this bill, they are home this week.
So if they're going to renegotiate a portion of this bill, the House will need to come back and it's not clear that they're going to do so
really increasing the odds that we head into a partial government shutdown over the weekend.
What we can anticipate here is that two sides are talking.
They are at least making positive sounds at each other.
But have they really spelled out what this looks like?
Have the lawyers on both sides started looking at this?
Absolutely not.
They're still in that early stages.
But this did give Trump enough space to back off from those tariffs, back off from, you know, kind of the use of military force.
We've seen that positive market reaction from this.
And this is kind of how Trump likes to be like to deal in this and kind of being able to show that he gets support.
