When they start biting back, that is when it's almost like your PR either hasn't swooped in, you haven't listened or you don't have representation.
And the story that comes to mind straight away is when that Coronation Street actress was involved in Cake Gates.
It was a couple of years ago.
And I think she'd contacted like a really small business, a local bakery to kind of create a birthday cake.
And because she was an actress, thought that she was going to get it for free.
Business owner.
I think I don't think she went to the press.
I think she went to TikTok and basically said she's earning all this money and she's expecting me to.
put my livelihood into baking her cake and generously offering it for her.
Then obviously people were then tagging the actress.
The actress then did a video, put it on TikTok, tagged the cake shop.
And it was like, I mean, as an outsider looking in, it's a little bit like, let me get my popcorn.
Yeah.
But again, you've got the long term vision in mind.
Yes.
You know, you don't want your short term kind of like rage replies to impact what could happen.
And also that's you showing up as a self leadership, it's self awareness, self acceptance, leadership, and almost saying again to your community and your followers, I fucked up, but you know what, I'm going to put everything that I'm feeling aside and I'm going to show up as human first.
Absolutely.
And that's, that's one of the things that I'm now starting to move into.
Cause you know, I've been in PR for a very long time, studied at university.
