And then when I was going back to work after my third child, I decided to sign up for the comedy course where she and I met because I just knew if I went back to work after maternity leave,
Do you know, you go back into the day to day, you don't have the headspace for anything creative.
And I had read somewhere that Ricky Gervais started stand up when he was 37.
And I think that, you know, we see all these lists of, you know,
like Forbes 30 under 30 or these 15 year old you know Wimbledon tennis stars and I think that you can as a mum of three and a teacher and you think yeah that's me done yeah and I just thought maybe it's not me done and I had that 37 in my head and so I started and then within a year I'd won the funny women awards and incredible yeah and funny enough at the end of 2018 I had
watched 300 years of French and Saunders and it really affected me.
I thought, wow, that's what I should have been doing.
I'm living the wrong life.
And then by the following Christmas, I was with the same agent, Maureen Vinson was taking care of me and Carly.
So it was just this amazing little bit of, what did I say once?
I think it was on Woman's Day.
I said, my success feels like a reward for bravery.
That's what it feels like for like, you know, when you see women, a lot of women succeeding, you know what I mean?
Like, oh yeah, she's, I see her and it feels nice.
But I still got the hump.
