The Israeli prime minister's office says forensic tests show the latest human remains returned to Israel belonged to Hadar Goldin, an Israeli soldier killed in action in Gaza in 2014 and then held there for more than 11 years.
Goldin had become a national symbol.
His parents waged a long public campaign.
A hostage forum says the, quote, people of Israel have walked beside them in their struggle.
The Israeli military published photos of Goldin's flag-draped coffin.
