But the British Beer and Pub Association says a long-term plan is needed to, quote, save pubs, jobs and hearts of communities.

The British Beer and Pub Association says an average of two pubs closed per day in the first three months of this year.

That's about 2,400 jobs lost.

The association blames rising rents and taxes.
