It's not a big deal as long as there's something sexual.
They're even more open about what counts as sex.
So older adults...
And in some ways, especially older women will talk about sex, sexual activity being more varied than in the past.
So women might talk about, you know, I have a partner who has ED and so we do other things.
You know, I had a woman say their hands, there are toys like we can try other things like sex does not have to be a strictly intercourse penetrative experience.
There are other options.
Right.
It's funny.
In some ways, it feels like older adults are kind of at the forefront of the sexual development, right?
Like they are more aware of the hurdles and barriers that people might face, and they are kind of more open to the variety of activities.
And so one of the other things that has come up is kind of to your point that bodies change, that our bodies are not the same at 65 as they were at 20, that there might be some hurdles to the experience.
Both men and women kind of said, yeah, we'll figure it out.
There's medications, there's medical supports, there are things that we can use, there are things that we can do to solve some of these problems.
And so women especially would say, if I find a man who is unwilling to solve the problem, that's a deal breaker for me.
Like, it's okay if you have ED as long as you're willing to have that medical intervention, whatever it might be.
For other people, it's just, again, maybe sex looks a little different.
I had one man talk about how he was dating a woman who had double knee replacement, so she couldn't be on top.
That was the comment.
