And to give a few examples, I'm working with a company right now that's in the health and nutrition space that's focusing their products on the diabetes, obesity epidemic, both in the United States and around the world.
I've worked with a Chicago-based water purification company that's designing technologies for the
in the developing world without potable water.
I've worked with an initiative in Europe that is taking the Savory Institute's work over several decades to create, to do holistic management on semi-arid and arid landscapes and to turn them into businesses, micro enterprises.
And one last one I'll give an example of is a biofuel renewable energy company that's doing work in Brazil.
They have a huge landfill problem, and their landfills are all filling up in Brazil.
And this company takes that landfill, that garbage, and puts it in through a European technology that makes it into biofuel.
So it's an amazing array of different kinds of work.
I gravitate most passionately to companies that are addressing one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, of which there are 17.
Yeah, the thing about early stage companies, as you I'm sure know, is each one has different business needs.
And so I'm able, because I have 25 plus years of professional experience, both in environmental and social impact, but also in the impact investing space, I can help on a number of different levels.
These companies are looking for funding.
You know, they're doing seed stage or growth stage funding.
Sometimes they're just looking for strategic partnerships.
No, we're not.
The Impact Entrepreneur Center is not an investor.
We're considered a consultant and intermediary.
So I'm often matchmaking between early stage companies that fit our criteria.
which are pretty rigorous, and impact investors, which is an incredibly exciting and potent movement that's happening all around the world now, which is institutional investors, angel investors, family wealth offices are saying, we want to invest in triple bottom line companies at different stages.
