I just want to say as a 45-year Essendon supporter, I'm not that rapturous this morning.
Look, I really think bad choices, bad decisions, bad luck has followed this club around like a black dog for the last 20 years.
And I just wonder, given the context of West Coast receiving priority choices from the AFL, even though they won a flag in 2018, isn't it time for Essendon to put its pride to one side and to go to the AFL and say, fellas, we need some assistance here because supporters are dropping off.
There's nobody as passionate as my family.
