confident and there's a way you can do that without being arrogant and I think that self-belief and he'd tell me this before this race he'd tell me over and over just keep telling yourself and so I went to this race and the whole way there I'm just telling myself I'm going to win this going to win this and in this race I spun off like I went to the back of the field the start of the race and I was buried and I remember like and honestly it should have just been over but the importance of this race and everything we talked about I remember like just
having so much of a belief that I could still win.
And I just drove through the field and won this race.
And it was kind of crazy, but like it just, that story, that race, and me realizing what I feel like I'd potentially manifested leading up to it, that stuck with me forever, really.
I remember it so detailed now.
Yeah.
There was... There's one... There's...
Last year, the start of the season was, when I went back to V-Carb, was very hard.
And basically, I'd always raced, when I'd been with V-Carb both times before this, I'd raced with one side of the garage.
And I worked with Pierre, who's with Arvid now.
And for me coming into F1, I think he was like the perfect, he's so experienced.
And for me, he was like the perfect engineer to work with, to learn about Formula One, learn coming in.
But when the switch happened, the way it worked out, Isaac was working with him at that point.
So I went to the other side of the garage and worked with a totally new crew and started working with Ernie, who's in a different role this year, but he was my engineer last year, Ernesto.
And...
I will always, no matter, you know, however my F1 career, you know, pans out, I'll always reflect on him as being somebody that honestly, I don't know if saved is the right word, but kind of saved my, you know, Formula One career.
He made a big impact last year because the car, I was struggling with how it was to drive last year because there's always little things that drivers like out of a car.
And especially after driving a Red Bull going back to V Cup, they are so different.
despite what people think.
They are so different.
