These are actions.
Right.
And in James, it says faith without works is dead.
Right.
And the fruit of our faith is how people will know that we are believers.
So there is an action interchanging here.
Right.
Does that make sense?
Is that what we were talking about?
Having examples.
Josh and I are making a Google Doc for when we have an opportunity to grill an Orthodox priest.
A lot of this stuff I just want to understand.
There's a faith element here where you have to say, the earliest...
members of our church believed this to be true how did they arrive here you know yeah and it talks about like in paul's letters to timothy it's like teach what i have said to you and there are there are inferences that we might not see this in scripture right so timothy talks to whatever church he's i think this is thessalonica and he's talking about something that paul had told or no i'm wrong paul was talking about something that christ had said but of course paul wasn't there with christ yeah
So not having seen what Christ had said in the gospels, there's an inference that there was an exchange of information that did not get into the gospels.
Right.
That was law.
You know, this is what was something that was commanded.
And so you're going, is there a possibility that tradition has weight and merit amongst the church?
And it talks about like the gates of hell cannot stand against the church.
