So I think it's really important to have a chat with your GP about it.
And hopefully you have an informed GP who's done some menopause training.
Certainly, if that's not the case, when you speak to your surgery and make an appointment, you could request an appointment with a GP who has some knowledge of menopause prescribing and hormone prescribing who's confident in it.
And hopefully have a discussion.
And don't forget that, you know, hormones, if you want to try them, I mean, I know I sound like a salesman for HRT and I promise you I'm not.
I've never been paid to endorse HRT.
It's not something I do at all.
I purely do it as kind of a health, public health information service.
This is something that dramatically helped me.
in my 40s and looking back, if I'd been able to rewind the clock and do one thing differently in my midlife, it was I would have started HRT earlier because we know that the sooner we start replacing our hormones, the greater the health benefits.
So I would just encourage everyone to have that conversation.
If it's not right for you and you choose not to go down that route, absolutely, of course, I respect it.
I respect every woman's personal choice.
It's your body, it's your choice.
But please don't be fearful because of misinformation.

At this time of life, we need to make sure that we're eating well.
I talk here on the podcast often about having a diet rich in protein and healthy fats and micronutrients.
Really important in terms of nutrition, things like zinc and magnesium and our omega-3 fats.
