And I have noticed it's not just Ted that does this.

People set themselves up for a fail.

They go, oh, I'm going to see how it makes me feel over 30 days of hypothermia and my wheelie bin.

And then they fucking realise they're a dickhead.

And they do it for five on Instagram.

Then it just peters off.

And it's never to be mentioned again.

So this one sunny day I was speeding along, came whizzing around a corner only to see an elderly lady pulled over a short distance after the bend and she was changing a flat tyre.

So being the gentleman that I am I made a rapid decision, remember I was boy racing at the time, to suddenly pull in behind her and screech to a halt with inches to spare.

As I pulled up, I noticed that the said old dear was not alone.

And in fact, she appeared to have a husband who was sat in the car behind the wheel.

My immediate thought was, that's odd.

Why is the old boy making his frail old wife change a tyre whilst he just sits there listening to classic FM?

At this point, my eyes lowered and came to rest on the squatting old dear, who was in fact in the process of shitting herself.

And she clearly had a potty emergency.

I will never forget the look of surprise mixed with shame, horror and shock on her face.

As she was interrupted midstream and shit by a young man screeching to a halt a couple of feet from her and making eye contact.

needless to say I was mortified and I seamlessly accelerated away my wheels grappling for grit on the loose gravel groaning out loud to myself in social anguish the whole episode couldn't have taken more than a few seconds but it seemed like time stood still in that moment when I realized what I was witnessing yeah yeah no one wants to witness that no one wants to be witnessed doing that either a potty emergency
