It's a really good time to be an Irish author of a thriller.

Obviously, it was a huge year for Andrea Mara last year with All Her Fault.

the success of that what's going on with this book from what I hear it's being sold in America which is a big deal for an Irish author because it's not a given I think people don't know that that like yeah you know you don't always get to have your book in other publication or other um territories excuse me um so that's exciting yes any other chat that you can talk about

Well, it's also, I mean, it's literally your dream.

Yeah.

Right?

It's my dream.

It's your dream.

Oh, I couldn't agree more.

Now, look, we've talked around the book a lot and we've talked about certain features of the book, but we haven't done a full on pitch.

So I got to give you the opportunity.

Because before we finish up, I need you to sell people on why they need to read The Lies Between Us.

Well I have to say I am not traditionally I'm not really a thriller girly um and I wouldn't even read that many mysteries but I so enjoyed this because I just think the characters are really I'm I will read you know I'm a character person like I want to read about characters and some thrillers I read I'm like I don't know these people well enough but I didn't feel like that at all reading this and I really think that lots of different people will really enjoy this book so

congratulations to you on many fronts like congratulations on activating another section of your career on you know making a dream literally come true and also for being brave enough to kind of put yourself out there in this way it's not easy but I think it's really important I think it will definitely be helpful for your book but also on a personal level I think it will connect with so many people so I hope you feel really proud of yourself thank you and thank you so much for having me on your podcast I was so excited to come on I love it I love you and I'm just absolutely like buzzing now so thanks so much thank you
